Keys down the sewer

No prizes for guessing what happened at this point. The guy who had just lost his keys laid back and spaced out for a moment while the rest of us tryed to work out how to get them back. Well, everyone else did. I took pictures of the whole thing. After poking into the sewer with a big stick it was determined that the water was about two feet deep. Coincedentally, the length of the average human arm from fingertip to top of head is about two feet. Thus, in went Ross.

As it turns out, his arms were a bit too short to actually get to the bottom of the water without him getting completely soaked with nasty sewer juice. Thus, the lanky dude who originally dropped the keys was voted most likely to succeed and lowered into the pit.

After a minute or so of fishing around and finding several unrelated things that also managed to find their way into the sewer, an enthusiastic cry of “I got it!” was the symbol to pull him back out. Finally, the keys were returned to their rightful owner, albeit a little wetter and smellier than before.

All was well with the world. We went back so the people who got dipped could clean up before heading down to the bowling alley for real this time. It was closed. A worthy trip!
