It’s late, I’m tired. Not a lot of words today, so enjoy the pictures. Be grateful, the lighting was so horrid that these are pretty much the only ones that aren’t a solid block of black.

This was Ben right after he called a cheer in which we threatened to hang the ref. The ref didn’t mind all that much, actually.

Michigan Tech has their Schoolyard Olympics every year at around this time. It’s a competition in which all the halls compete in various events: Super Jump Rope, Relay Race (with burlap fun), Steal the Bacon, Water Balloon Toss, and Musical Chairs. Our hall (CSLC) didn’t win any events except for Jump Rope dues to various setbacks so we probably didn’t place very well overall. But it sure was fun! Except for being way to hot….

Super Jump Rope

The general theory behind Super Jump Rope is to get a lot of people into one jump rope all at once. Obviously the best way to do this was to call out a command when everyone was supposed to jump. Ours was “Space!” and it was awesome.

Relay Race

Ben is our halls PC (Program Coordinator) and he got really into the relay race, diving into the finish line at the end while in the burlap sack (not pictured). Which was odd because we had already lost by a solid minute or so.

Steal the Bacon

This guy is Derek. He ran in for the point in this shot and scored for us. We lost 9-10 in the end, but literally every one of our first stringers had to be replaced. Two for bleeding, one for a twisted ankle, one for severe back pain, and one for heat stroke. Yeah. VIcious game.

Musical Chairs

This is musical chairs. We lost in the end from what was (in my opinion) a poor judgement call. Oh well.
