I mentioned two posts ago how my dad spent a lot of time towing people around the lake. I tried to get some pictures on one of those outings, with mediocore results. Still, pictures are pictures, so here they are.
First up is the captain of the entire affair, my father. He’s a good boat driver.
The first thing we did was to get my sister and sme of my younger cousins out tubing. I’m not a huge fan of the tube because the rider has almost no control, which I loathe. They enjoyed it though, so whatever.
We didn’t have our ski around on this particular trip, so there was no skiing, but we did go kneeboarding. Here’s my sister coming back from her trip around the lake. She has a big smile quite a lot of the time.
And here’s one of the few pictures of myself on this site. Curiously, I’ve yet to appear with a shirt on. Diabolical master plan or harmless coincidence? You decide.
During the tubing I got bored because the kids didn’t want a lot of bumpiness. I started taking pictures of clouds to kill time. Here’s one of them.
Just a few picture I took of the campfire. Nothing too special, but I liked them.
And a few shots of the sparks with a bit of a time lapse.

I think Independence Day is just about my favorite holiday. Traditionally we round up every relative that we can and have a weekend celebration at my family’s cabin in the Northwoods. There’s good food, good company, and fireworks on the Fourth. I took some pictures of various things, so let’s get some posts going!
First up is my sister Emma around the fire. One of my younger cousins brought her iPod Touch, and Emma commandeered it in order to play a generic version of Rush Hour. She got pretty into it and refused to pay attention to anything else. I don’t even think the camera’s flash at night got her attention for more than half a second or so.
This is my Uncle Othmar. I really don’t think anything I could say would describe him better than this picture, so let’s just get to it.
The pixelation on this one is by request of the cousin being blurred, but that’s okay because it’s Lisa in the background that makes it such an amusing shot. She claims to have not done it intentionally, and I certainly didn’t see it until I took the picture. Incidentally, that’s my Aunt Donna on the left. She’s married to Othmar.
This is from when I learned my mom (Ginny) can still do a headstand from a pike position. it’s a picture of my mom doing a headstand from a pike position.
And finally, my dad (Chuck) doing what he did a lot of that weekend, driving the boat while towing some relatives. There was much tubing, skiing, and kneeboarding.
